This month, we’re trying something a little different: breathwork and story telling wound together to mark the ancient Celtic start of winter. In the tradition of my Scottish ancestors Samhain (sounds like saa·wn) marked the start of winter. It was the beginning of the season of the Cailleach. It marked the start of the long cold darkness that was both threat to survival, and gift of rest and contemplation.

On this evening we will begin with storytelling, drawing close around a mythical campfire as we hear stories of the turning season. We will then breathe actively for 30 minutes, telling our own inner stories for this liminal moment and rest deeply in the invitation of winter ahead.
